Description:

The Operations Manager is one primarily focused on delivering service commitments provided to the hospital (whether physicians, non physician caregivers and/or administration) in which the Lab resides.

The delivery of services must be performed in a highly cost effective manner while maintaining appropriate licensures and conditions as required by CLIA, OSHA, JCAHO, CAP and the System Laboratory Compliance Program. The incumbent must support both the long range strategic and operational goals of the hospital in which the laboratory resides as well as the Laboratories.

Candidates must be familiarity with all aspects of hospital lab operations, including quality systems, front end specimen collection and processing and technical analytical processes. Familiarity with workflow and operational processes between technical and non-technical laboratory functions. Demonstrated ability to achieve operational improvement leading to quality and/or efficiency improvements.

Ability to identify root causes for operational and financial variances and to remediate. Demonstrated ability to resolve service failures. Demonstrated ability to work with disparate groups with competing priorities.

Salary: $99 -105K

Requirements

Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology or closely related field as well as finance, economics, purchasing and operations management.
Master’s degree preferred but not required
Certified as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathology or equivalent
10+ years of experience required
