Job Description:
• The Clinical Lab Manager is directly
responsible for the operational and personnel management of the clinical
lab areas of Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Serology,
Urinalysis, Microbiology and Reference.
• Assists in the development
of the annual operating and capital budgets, manages inventory, testing
protocol, and area productivity as part of the lab management work
team.

Requirements:

• Degree in Medical Technology, ASCP Certification or equivalent required.
•
Five years of general clinical laboratory management experience in the
areas of Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Coagulation,
Serology and Urinalysis preferred.
• Complies with OSHA/VOSHA Universal Precautions, practices personal and hospital safety.
• Frequent contact with lab/hospital personnel, physicians, vendors and service representatives.
• Must demonstrate a helpful, polite attitude and face customer oriented approach to problem solving.
